40 New PSoneclassics coming to the Vita on Tuesday

Megaman and many more Capcom titles coming Tuesday to the Vita store.

Well Done SCEA!

SCEA has gotten a little more work done, and that means that we get a few more PSoneclassics to buy off the PSN store for you Vita, including some games that didn’t even transfer via PS3 before. This info comes from the Playstation Blogcast but they stated that they didn’t announce them ALL. Which is sort of an annoyance, but really they won’t be available until Tuesday’s update. Also New Little King’s Story will be released on the Vita, and there are a few Vita demos out as well.

More PSoneClassics added to the Playstation Store for Vita!

Some of the added PSoneclassics

SCEA responds to outcry by releasing more games.

Everyone in the NA gaming world was upset with SCEA for only releasing 9 psone classics for the Playstation Vita. This was in stark contrast to the 129 games that were released on the European Store and the 289 released on the Japanese store. Today Sony updated the store today (something we’ve never seen outside of the regular update day of Tuesday). Now a full 35 games have been released on the store, an update of 26. These games are some that didn’t even work via the PS3 transfer system that users found out on Tuesday.

SCEA uploads 7% of the PSoneclassics that Europe does for Vita. Gamers should be pissed. Update: Sony Japan posts 289 PSone classics on Vita

Sony Computer Entertainment America didn’t do their job very well

This was a huge feature release for the Vita, many early adopters waited patiently for this update to make their PSoneclassics work. The European Playstation blog did an excellent job, but their North American counterparts dropped the ball.

Playstation Australia says more PSoneclassics coming to Vita than just the six announced at E3, Gamescom

More good OFFICIAL news from Playstation.

How confusing is this right?

Every few days we get a different word about what’s happening with PSoneclassics on Vita. First we get Joystiq saying it’s a gradual release, then we get Gamespot saying they’ll all be released. Then we get word that only the 6 or so PSoneclassics that have been shown will be the ones on the service. To confirm, not Joystiq or Gamespot gave a name to who told them their information. The only sourced interview done with anyone who works with PSOne classics on PSN is the interview I did with Monkey Paw games, which said he hasn’t had to convert his psoneclassics to work on Vita.

Short Interview with Monkey Paw Games, PSoneclassic Dev

Cool Motto

Monkey Paw Games answers a few questions about PSoneclassics, how long it takes to release games, and PSoneclassics on the Vita.

For those who don’t know, Monkey Paw Games do a lot of the work needed to get PSOne classics released on PSN. They’re also responsible for the Japanese Import titles that get released, and they’re probably the best people to speak to about PSoneclassics. They recently released Tomba on PSN, a huge cult hit, and have also brought other classics like Arc the Lad and Alundra to the service among others.

Will All PSoneclassics be available this summer? Or only a few?

We want all the PSoneclassics, thanks.

We've waited long enough

There has been a small debate going on between websites, Joystiq and Ign in particular in the case of PSoneclassics on the the Vita. Earlier this week at the Sony E3 Press conference it was announced that they would be available to play on the Vita “This summer”. This wasn’t the best news, considering this feature has been promised since the device launched here in the West in February, and in the December when it was launched in Japan.

PSoneClassics coming to the Vita is Summer

PSoneclassics on Vita, Finally

The Vita was released in February, but there has been a lack of PSoneclassics on the system. This is going to change this summer apparently.

During the Sony E3 Press conference Jack Tretton announced that PSoneclassics will be made playable on the Vita this summer, but as of yet a set date was not announced. This is still a sore point with early Vita adopters seeing that the idea is the Vita has had a slim number of games released.
