Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI on PSN Tuesday

YAY!

Finally our collective prayers have been answered.

Square Enix got off their buts and finally got their PSone Classics coming to PSN. We’ve all been waiting months since these games were outed on the ESRB rating website, but their finally there! Tuesday these two originally SNES classics will be coming to PSN. No word on the price yet, but don’t be surprised if they’re both at the 9.99 price point, these games are revered for a reason.

It’s True! Breath of Fire 4 on PSN Tuesday.

Looks kinda pretty actually

One PSone Classic this week, Breath of Fire 4

As Capcom’s VP said their game Breath of Fire 4 has managed to keep it’s release date of August 16th, it will be available for your gaming pleasure on Tuesday as part of the regular PSN update. This is a monumental occasion for PSone Classic lovers, because it marks the first time in recent history where someone from a company said a game was to be released on PSN, and it actually made it’s date. This original information was released a few weeks ago, so one would assume that some people out there have the information before we’re let in on the secret.

PSN Store back in Japan, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Cross Klonoa all released.

Chrono Cross now on Japanese PSN

Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Cross, all for you to play if you’re Japanese.

Finally the Playstation Store is back up all over the world. It was blocked by the Japanese Government to protect consumers from getting any more information taken from them like the address and names were during the PSN hack. What is more surprising is the amount of PSone Classics they received on day one of being online again, a larger amount of PSone Classics that have ever been released, 32 infact including some seriously high profile games like Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Cross and Klonoa. Where are all those PSone Classics we were promised?

Where is Chrono Trigger?

Games MIA

Before the PSN service was hacked, we had a slew of PSone Classics coming our way, Final Fantasy VI, Parasite Eve 2, and Chrono Trigger. Strangely enough it’s been over a month since the service was restored but sadly NA has not gotten the chance to buy this classic games, but they have been released in the PAL territories. They have released some other PSone Classics, but not the promised ones that everyone is waiting for…

Final Fantasy VI and Parasite Eve 2 now on EU PSN, Not yet for NA.

Europe is getting some pretty good updates this week, especially for PSone Classic fans, with two legendary titles that are promised for our territory as well that were already released over there.

Final Fantasy VI was originally a NES title, and considered one of the best FF titles of all time.

Parasite Eve 2 is a survival horror RPG that is the last link in the series between the first game that was released a few months ago, and the third game in the series, The 3rd Birthday, which was also released a while ago, so for anyone who wants to play the series through chronologically and didn’t want to pay a mint for an original PSone copy, they’ve been waiting for this title (like myself for instance).

Final Fantasy VI Also rated by the ESRB

Final Fantasy VI gets rated by the ESRB

Two days in a row Square it getting games rated as PSone Classics! Yesterday with Crono Trigger, today with Final Fantasy VI! There was talk of Final Fantasy VI being released in Japan, but there was no talk about North America, but the new ESRB rating proves it’s on it’s way.

Once again like Crono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI was originally released on the SNES, and is coming to the Playstation network as the port from the Final Fantasy Chronicles collection that was released so many years ago. This was originally called Final Fantasy III as the other games in the series before that were not released here.
