Of course some games will be a little more original than others, but I think if they had a good idea, and made the game well it will reflect in the review score. You should look at old Gamespot and IGN reviews as a resource. The PSOne/PSX was one of the highest selling consoles of all time if not the #1 highest selling. It saw games make the tansition from 2D to full 3D gameplay. I really like this site because it shows it some long due and now they will fear you...
