Myst coming to yet another platform type!

Myst has already been released as a PSP game, but Myst seems like it’s the game that has no bounds and is going to be re-released as a PSOne classic or a PSmini coming soon. Myst is the puzzle game that really blew people away in the early 90s with its at the time revolutionary graphics. I haven’t played the game since I was a kid, so a small asking price of $5.99 might be just small enough to gain my interest. (The PSP version is currently at $19.99 on the NA store, way too steep in my opinion). Once again we never know when these games will be released but sometime soon would be nice.

Original Killzone coming to PSN as a PS2 Classic.

If you’re like  me and have only joined the Playstation generation with the PS3 and the PSP, you’ll be wondering what the original Killzone was like considering their two sequels have played such a big role in Sony’s First party line up the last few years. Luckily with the PS2 Classics program on PSN you’ll be able to grab it for only $9.99 come Jan 24th. GameInformer managed to break the story and Sony confirmed it! So for those looking for a little more Killzone action for cheap, you’re in luck!

Final Fantasy Origins coming to PSN Tuesday

Final Fantasy Origins, the first two games in the saga on PSN Tuesday.

For all you Final Fantasy addicts out there it seems like some more prayers have been answered, with Final Fantasy Origins coming to PSN for $9.99. The original games, released on the NES were actually last ditch efforts by Square to stave off bankruptcy, hence the name “Final Fantasy”. Of course it became the huge hit we all know and sequel after sequel was released. I’ve never played the first Final Fantasy games, but if you’re looking to see what started the mammoth game series, here’s your chance.

I’ve been away lately…

Sorry I’ve been away lately, work has been crazy, and I just finished 15 contracts in 30 days! I should be getting back into the swing of things soon after I’m back home in NA. But today I’m going to visit the Paris Grand Palace gallery, and their exhibition “Game Story- A History of Video Games”. Finally games getting a little more respect in the art world! Klonoa sneaks in as the last PSone Classic released in 2011

Last PSoneClassic for the year!

Klonoa Finally released!

 

Way back when we broke that Klonoa would be coming to PSN at some point, that was July 18th, and yesterday December 27th it was finally released. If you were waiting out for this one and you have any money left after Christmas it’s now up on the store for $5.99. Klonoa is a side scroller but still with 3D graphics, and a lot of people were really excited about when the ESRB rating leaked check it out if you have the time!

PSVita Memory Cards Priced in NA – Ouch.

Current 32gig SDcard price $36 on Amazon.com

Proprietary Memory Sucks.

Gamestop released the prices for Vita Memory Cards, and the prices aren’t that sexy. I mean they might be small and pretty, but 120 dollars for a 32 gig card? That’s outrageous! On Amazon.com right now you can buy a 32 Gig SD card for $36!

Possible reasons why they cost more?

There might be some special reason, like write and read rate, there will be a lot of data going though these little cards at a quick pace, so you don’t want to have future games bogged down by a slow transfer rate (pop in sucks yo). Perhaps they didn’t have enough room for a regular SD card in the PSVita and had to make a smaller version so it would fit inside safely.

DarkStalkers PSone Classic and Tak 2 PS2 classics dropping Tuesday

Two games this week drop as Playstation classics

We’ve known that Darkstalkers has been coming for a while, but Tak 2 : The staff of dreams is a PS2 game that hadn’t been hinted to yet. Perhaps we’ll start getting more surprises with PS2 classics being incognito until their release like PSone classics were.

What’s Tak 2?

Tak 2 was released in 2004 for PS2, and was a charming little platformer in the vain of Donkey Kong (as you can use animals to help you traverse obstacles). This game was released for everything at the time and received decent reviews (it’s sitting at a 73.25% rating on Gamerankings.com). This looks like a decent little platformer for kids as it looks really colourful.

Darkstalkers coming to PSN this Month – Capcom

Seems like wait between ESRB and Release is getting shorter!

We published not too long ago that the ESRB rated Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors for PSN as a PSOneclassic and now we’ve gotten word from Capcom that the game should be out later this month! Good news for those looking to itch that fighter itch for some pocket change. There are only two weeks left in the month, so expect this on the 22nd or the 29th!

Travelling Day: PSoneclassic.com moving for two months!

Priorities in check.

Posting shouldn’t be affected THAT much.

I’m off to France for work for two months, I’ll be posting still but there’s a possibility that I’ll be a little bit slower to get to some news stories, and that my posts will be at strange French timing. Luckily my NA PSN account should still work when I’m in Europe, so I can still purchase/review new PSoneClassics coming to the network, sadly though PS3 games will fall through my fingers, as taking my fat PS3 with me would be a ludicrous thing to do. Here’s hoping that the Vita will play PS2classics via emulator eh? That means I can be a mobile PSone/PS2 reviewing machine! (If only!).

Vanguard Bandits coming Tuesday to PSoneclassics!

Mech Battles for everyone!

Just a few days ago the ESRB leaked that Vanguard Bandits, a Japanese Mech game would be coming to PSN soon, luckily it was incredibly soon seeing as it’s now coming this week. Vanguard Bandits is a Strategy RPG, so this should scratch your strategy itch if you’re waiting for Valkyria Chronicles 3 to be released. It seems like people are looking forward to this one after fond memories of when it was originally released, so it’s great to see that they’ll get their chance to grab this game again.

 

Expect this one to cost 5.99.
