Parasite Eve 2 is finally coming
Well a while after Europe and Japan got it loyal gamers in North America were waiting for a chance to play the second game in the series on our PSPs. Square said they would try their best to get it out before the third game in the series was released, the 3rd Birthday but didn’t make the date, then the PSN hack happened…
But PSone Classic lovers rejoice! Parasite Eve 2 is finally going to be available in North America for you PSP and PS3 gaming pleasure. This is great news for me, because I liked the first game in the series (you can read our review of Parasite Eve 1 here) and have been itching to get another chance to play as Aya Brea, the series’ feminine, but still independent and don’t take no bull from no man heroine, at least before they wipe here personality clean for the third game (or so I’ve heard).
So that’s about it, hopefully we’ll get this game out on the network soon, but as always it’s impossible to tell with these ESRB ratings could be days or weeks till we hear more.

It’s not at all like I haven’t been waiting almost a year for this particular port. Not at all.
New players should know two things:
1. PE2′s engine is natural, not intuitive like PE’s. Expect some culture-shock if you’ve never played oldschool survival-horror.
2. If you are playing on a PSP, customize your controller settings and map the R2 trigger on the PSOne to the L trigger on the PSP. You *will* be using it for weapon attachments, and no one wants to mess with that stupid analog nub when it really wants to be a trigger.

as for Egann, I’ve gathered that PE2 is a sort of resident evil type game. Should be interesting to say the least, and it wasn’t totally panned by critics so they must have done something right.

yeah PE2 is much more like RE than the last game its kind of annoying

That is weird that they changed the game in to a more survival horror experience, but I’ve been in the mood for a classic survival horror anyway. I hope its released soon.
