Because Winter is for gaming…
Square Enix announced today three RPGs coming to PSone classics over the Winter, two we’ve been waiting for for a long, long time, the other we’re a bit surprised with. These games are classics and probably will eat away most of your winter holidays if you let them, so without further adieu…
Chrono Cross November 8th,
The sequel to Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross is another RPG that deals with time travel, it was originally released on the Playstation in 2000, where it gained great success, but for many it couldn’t live up to the Chrono name, as many people prefer the first to the second, though there is a vocal minority who love the second. From what I’ve seen the graphics look gorgeous, this one is most likely a must play, and it’s out next week!
Final Fantasy V November 22nd, and Final Fantasy VI December 6th
These two games were originally released on the Super Famicom in Japan (Super Nintendo everywhere else). So don’t expect anything crazy exciting in the graphics department. Still they’re favourites, and many people have been clamouring to grab them ever since they were outed by the ESRB ages ago.
So, that makes the next few months a little easier for me! Great news for all RPG fans!

Great news! Its nice to have a release schedule for Classics for once. I wish FFVI were coming out sooner than FFV though. There are still a few good PS One (and even PS2) games that SE could release, I hope they keep up this awesome Classics support!

Knew from day one they were gonna pull a holiday launch, even though they were playable ready weeks if not months ago ;o Oh well, that’s holiday marketing
Take my damned money Sony
And DQ VII would be easy as heck for them to add, just don’t ever expect to see VIII, the power needed to run that poor game.. would melt the PS3 in seconds lol.

Finally! I was so dissapointed that Chrono Trigger’s port still had those horrible loading times. Hopefully this one will be the same as the original (some improvements would still be welcome).

It should be a direct port, so most blemishes should be intact (also means all the weird/cool glitches are intact too!).
