A new PSone classic worth mentioning is coming, a fighting classic, Street Fighter Alpha 3, originally released on the PSone in 1999, it was a million seller (as most Street Fighter games are), and is a fond entry in the series. So fond in fact, that Street Fighter Alpha 3 was ported to the PSP in 2006, as Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max.
I’m not much of a fighting fan but I actually did pick up the PSP version for one reason only. They managed to drop in the greatest of all characters into this Street Fighter. Fei Long. Or for Tekken fans, Brian Law (Whoops! I meant Marshall Law), or for people who aren’t familiar with fighters, Bruce Lee. I don’t know what it is, but it’s always a hook for me, I grab a fighting game and I master the Bruce Lee character and then let it go. This game is pretty intense though, the PSP version left me with a mighty calous on my left thumb (while playing on the PSP of course) I’m assuming that Street Fighter Alpha 3 will be much more comfortable on the PS3 (Maybe on the Vita too? The new Dpad looks pretty!).
There are also a lot of other games dropping this week, but sadly no other PSone classics or PS2 classics for that matter. I’ll take the one!
