PS2 Classics????
Susan Panico a member from the Playstation Blog just stated that starting tomorrow, and part of an Only on PSN promotion, there will be PS2 games released on the Playstation Network. But these aren’t slated as HD remakes, so maybe we’ll have finally PS2 Classics on the store!

The titles coming to the store as part of this deal are some little known PS2 exclusive games, God Hand, a studio Clover production (Okami etc.) Maximus Ghosts to Glory, an action adventure title from Capcom, GrimGrimoire, a side scrolling RPG by NIS developed by Vanillaware, including their more popular (and beautiful) Odin Sphere, and Ring of Red, a Konami game set in an alternate universe where Japan never surrendered in WW2, and the Soviet Union split Japan into Northern Communist Japan and Southern Capitalist Japan, while they’re both supplied with Mechwarriors from Germany… Hmm.
Those games certainly are interesting, and they should be great games to play through for the first time. Especially God Hand, it has a legendary cult following, it’ll be great to get in on the action. It seems though in everything but name these are PS2 classics! No official word on the pricing of these beauties, be 9.99 would be a nice price right?

I want to see these games running on the PSVita, and to THEN get the soul reaver games, I have them on disk, but I would enjoy them more on the go. Silent Hill 2 as well, maybe also the Tony Hawk games… too many to write down honestly.

hope they fix the lag issue with Odin sphere.

PSV will likely be the home of many PS2 games, just hope we have enough space for all that, too many greats and not enough room/time for them.

Store has been updated and they are in the section ONLY ON PSN, and officially being called ps2 classics! woot think of all the games that might come if this does well, buy my friends! buy!

As always, it boils down to the titles, and the PS2 has a lot of titles which are worth the nod.

only sucking part is replaying certain games just to unlock stuff on PS3 when you have a perfectly fine save file for PS2 with all previous progress.

Awesome! I bought God Hand, Maximo and Odin Sphere. I missed out on all three on PS2.
