Grand Theft Auto 3, GTA Vice City coming to PS3

Rated June 25th 2012

In case you don’t own enough copies…

The ESRB rating board gave us another nugget of info today with the ratings of Grand Theft Auto 3, and Grand Theft Auto Vice City for PS3. This is no surprise to anyone of course, these games are some of the most popular games in history, and it looks like they’re coming to the network as PS2 Classics. They were also rated back in January, perhaps this means that they’re on the horizon?

Short Interview with Monkey Paw Games, PSoneclassic Dev

Cool Motto

Monkey Paw Games answers a few questions about PSoneclassics, how long it takes to release games, and PSoneclassics on the Vita.

For those who don’t know, Monkey Paw Games do a lot of the work needed to get PSOne classics released on PSN. They’re also responsible for the Japanese Import titles that get released, and they’re probably the best people to speak to about PSoneclassics. They recently released Tomba on PSN, a huge cult hit, and have also brought other classics like Arc the Lad and Alundra to the service among others.

Where is my heart now available on the Vita Store

More Minis making their way over to the Vita

one of the more interesting minis to be released on the service

Where is my Heart is one of the most popular PSMinis that was ever released, and many people thought it was pretty good too! Getting an 81 on Metacritic. A  lot of people were looking for this game on the Vita, and luckily it’s now it’s available on the PSVita store for $6.99! A lot more games are getting shifted over to the Vita, along with new PSP games all the time. This is a strong sign! I’m waiting for Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops to make it over.

Gravity Rush Review

Gravity Rush for the PSVita

Gravity Rush is considered one of the ‘big killer apps’ of the Vita’s launch window. It was a little late coming to the West, but now that it’s here, is it worthy to be called the Vita’s killer app?

Tomba out now for your PSoneclassic pleasure.

Pigs should be Pink.

Classic Platformer Tomba now Available

Tomba, one of the more expensive PSoneclassics  you can buy on disk is now available to everyone cheap on PSN. 9.99 for this classic brought to us by MonkeyPaw games.

This game has been one of the most requested PSoneclassics for a while, great to see that they’re still being released. If you’re interested check it out, and perhaps the second game in the series will be released as well.

Lets just hope that the Vita can play this by the end of the summer!

Metacritic makes game reviews more controversial – Case Study on Jim Sterling

What makes a game review popular? Controversy.

Is this man reviewing games honestly? Or to become popular? Read on to find out.

In the game review world, in those sites ranked by Metacritic, it seems having a extreme opinion, aides in popularity of  reviews.

This was something I’ve been interested in for a while, but I think I might have actually found a decent case subject, one of the most controversial game reviewers in the business Destructoid’s Jim Sterling.

Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath for Vita not launching in June despite rumour.

Stranger’s Wrath HD is going to be a little late.

A little longer for this one sadly.

Earlier in May we heard that the HD version of Stranger’s Wrath a Xbox Oddworld game would be released for the Vita in June, but unfortunately that’s now not the case. This was clarified by the head of the Oddworld Inhabitants Blog.

Gravity Rush Digital download gives you a Pre-order Bonus

Free costumes! No pre-order needed.

Could this be a new trend?

Gravity Rush a much looked forward to game on the PSVita had a special pre-order for the game at certain retailers like Gamestop/EBgames, but now if you buy the game digitally within the first week you not only get the 10% regular discount on the title,  but also that special pre-order DLC that was advertised at those retailers.

This is similar to what happened with God of War’s last game on the PSP Ghost of Sparta, wherein if you bought the game digitally within the first week of release you received the soundtrack, a free God of War 3 skin, a documentary and an three hour interview with all the heads of the series.

No more video games for you PSoneclassics (for now at least).

Scandal!

SCEA, why must you suck so much with billing?

PSN isn’t working for me for the past week! My credit card won’t go through, and I even after buying PSN cards they won’t add the funds, now I have to wait for Sony to get back to me with my complaint. 3-5 business days eh? Crap!

I’m guessing this means no Gravity Rush and Metal Gear Solid HD today… or Reviews anytime soon.

:(    (First world problem).

Anyone else have problems like this? Share your tales of woe with the Playstation network!

Will All PSoneclassics be available this summer? Or only a few?

We want all the PSoneclassics, thanks.

We've waited long enough

There has been a small debate going on between websites, Joystiq and Ign in particular in the case of PSoneclassics on the the Vita. Earlier this week at the Sony E3 Press conference it was announced that they would be available to play on the Vita “This summer”. This wasn’t the best news, considering this feature has been promised since the device launched here in the West in February, and in the December when it was launched in Japan.
